The Year of the Something-or-the-Other

Happy New Year, folks! How did you spend yours?

I spent mine working; more specifically the last 55 seconds of 2006 I was helping a 90 something year old woman get off a bed pan. I cleaned her up, washed my hands, dashed down the hall to the nurses station, called my hubby just as the 10 second count down began, hoping he would pick up the phone before midnight. He did, and I greet him with an excited hello almost new years!!!

He said, "Who is this?"


Good thing I wasn't PMS-ie or else that could have been the end of our relationship. We talked for a few minutes, and then the sounds of call bells and IV machines beeping in the hallways lured me back to work.

Here's to being able to work; being able to toilet myself. Here's to 2007.
